1. A summary of Gandhi
Gandhi's life=Final Quote
Gandhi's life is definitely shown through his last quote/words. There are multiples this is shown in both the movie and real life. The quote says, "Whenever I despair, I remember that the way of truth and love has always won. There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it: always". Gandhi was first an Attorney/Lawyer before becoming known as the famous leader of peace of India. His protests/actions relied not on violence but peace, words and determination.
Gandhi's life first reflects this quote because he is always peaceful and honest. In the quote, it mentions "way of truth and love has always won". This is an example of Gandhi's honesty and love towards his country. He never fought with violence but he fought peacefully with words and speaking the truth. His acts of peace are what got him further in life and towards helping improve India.
In conclusion, Gandhi's life reflects his quote in the sense that he is true to his words and is positive. Instead of starting a war causing more than deaths than already, he stood up for justice and a "war" in words. And his final statement, "There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it: always" means that the fighting may seem like it will never end and that's how its supposed to be but it's not. You can change.

2. Crossing the pop culture universe
Indian idol=american idol
I chose the Indian show called Indian Idol which is equivalent to the American version, American Idol. These 2 shows feature singers on a journey to stardom. American Idol was first created before India created a replica. American Idol has had more winners and a longer running time, it appears as if Indian Idol has only had 3 years in the making. Both shows have many similarities because of the fact that they are the same thing but in different countries. They both feature well known judges, aspiring singers, contests and rewards.
